Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback singer and musician, who is mostly in Tamil as well as Malayalam language films. Annayum Rasoolum Malayalam film made her Malayalam debut as an actor. Andrea Jeremiah was born to an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea Jeremiah's Father is a Lawyer at the Madras High Court. Her younger sister is an assistant researcher from Belgium who is employed in Leuven. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing the piano classically in her 8th year. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group she was a part of at the age of 10, was her foundation to sing and compose music. Also, she was a theatre student at her school and appeared in several stage plays organised in collaboration with The Madras Players and EVAM. She was president of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea started the acting profession as a young actor as a child actor in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. She acted in new leo commercial for coffee with actor Shiva in 2006. In 2006, she appeared in a show that was broadcast on Podhigai. Her performances have been all over India. She appeared in a small role at the end of Kanda Mudhal 2005. Gautham A. Menon contacted her following the fact that she had performed in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu to appear as the lead female character for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani who is a wife and mother whose man has an affair. Andrea was chosen for the role after actresses Simran Shabana as well as Tabu were invited to audition for the film. It was released early in the year 2010. Her minor role was accepted in Venkat's Mankatha in 2011, that starred several actors. Her Malayalam debut in a film with Rajeeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in the year 2013.
