KellyKelly Clarkson in her full Kelly Brianne Clarkson was an American music producer and singer who gained fame when she was crowned American Idol's 2002 talent show. Clarkson was raised in Burleson (Texas) which is a suburb near Fort Worth. Her vocal ability was noticed at the age of seven years of age by the choir teacher of her school. Clarkson dropped out of high school to go into Los Angeles where she failed to break into the entertainment business. Clarkson was chosen to be a contestant for the Fox Broadcasting Company's American Idol singing competition, where viewers were able to cast their vote on their favourite performance. Viewers were smitten with Clarkson's stunning vocals, charisma and sense of humour. Clarkson took home $1 million and a contract recording in partnership with RCA as her prize.
