sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946 as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He's the elder child of the Italian born Francesco "Frank" Stallone , Jr, a hairdresser, and Jackie Stallone, an astrologer and dancer. Frank Stallone is his younger brother and actor. Because of the complications that occurred during the birth of his daughter, Sylvester's lower left side was crippled. This led to the now famous "snarling" and slurred speech and distinctive appearance. Stallone was a part of his childhood in foster care because of his parents' volatile relationship. Later, the couple split. Stallone studied drama at the American College in Switzerland before moving on to the University of Miami. Before completing his degree in the fall of 1964, he quit his school and relocated to New York City in order to pursue a career in acting.
