
Salma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Jayek Jimenez (born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actress and film producer. In Mexico she began her acting career playing the character as Teresa in the telenovela (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she received an Ariel Award. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) were just a few of her many Hollywood credits. Hayek's character as Frida Kahlo who is a painter, in Frida (2002) the biographical documentary she made which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination[6for the role of Frida Kahlo in Frida (2002). Also, she was awarded her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek played the lead in the action-oriented Once Upon a Time in Mexico film in the years following and focused on producing.
